The MOVD Guarantee

This is a guarantee, not an insurance policy. There are no premiums, deductibles, or third-party insurers involved. It is MOVD's direct commitment to stand behind every move we coordinate and to make things right if an item is damaged by our crew.

1. What the Guarantee Covers

The MOVD Guarantee applies to physical damage caused by a MOVD-coordinated crew to items they pack and/or transport during your move. Coverage is provided up to the limit associated with your service tier. For the Economy, Preferred, and Stress-Free tiers, remediation is provided up to a total of $2,500 per move.

Coverage applies to items handled by the MOVD crew from pickup through delivery.

2. How We Make It Right

For any eligible damaged item, MOVD resolves the claim through one of three remedies. We work with you to determine the appropriate remedy; where more than one applies, the choice is offered to you.

Repair. We repair the item or source and provide the replacement part needed to restore it, at no cost to you.

Replace. We replace the item with the same model or a comparable equivalent of similar type, condition, and value.

Reimburse. We reimburse based on a comparable item's current market cost, adjusted for the item's age, wear, and condition.

How reimbursement is calculated. Reimbursement is not based on an item's original purchase price, nor on an exact-model replacement. Instead, MOVD identifies a comparable item of similar type and quality currently available on the market to serve as the benchmark. MOVD selects the benchmark and shares it with the customer. The reimbursement is then that benchmark's current market cost, adjusted for the item's age, wear, and depreciation at the time of the move.

3. How to File a Claim

1. Notify MOVD within 14 days of your move's completion.

2. Provide a description of each affected item, clear photos of the damage, and proof of value where available.

3. MOVD reviews and responds with a proposed resolution within 5 business days.

4. Once a remedy is provided and accepted, the claim is considered resolved in full.

4. What's Not Covered

Items packed by the customer (not by a MOVD crew), except where damage results directly from MOVD's handling in transit.

Pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, or manufacturer defects.

Cash, jewelry, documents, and other high-value items unless declared to MOVD in advance.

Living items and perishables (e.g., plants, food), which are transported as a courtesy and fall outside the Guarantee, though MOVD may address them at its discretion as a goodwill gesture.

Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses beyond the item itself.

5. Our Commitment

The MOVD Guarantee exists because we stand behind the crews we coordinate. Our goal is a fair, prompt resolution on every claim, and to leave you confident that choosing MOVD means choosing a mover who makes it right.
